Porto Valriz Vintage 2016 presents a deep garnet colour, highly concentrated, with dense and persistent legs. Produced in the Douro Valley during an outstanding vintage year, it reflects structure, intensity and remarkable ageing potential.
Tasting Notes: Intense aromas of blackberry and black plum are layered with cocoa and fresh balsamic hints reminiscent of forest floor. On the palate, it is powerful and full-bodied, with polished tannins and spicy notes of black pepper, mint and dark chocolate, leading to a long and persistent finish.
Food Pairing & Ageing: Ideal with strong cheeses such as Serra or blue cheese, and chocolate desserts. Enjoyable now, with excellent bottle ageing potential.
